Daily Ritual

On the blog, Pagan Blog Prompts, I found this prompt which interested me.
"Do you have a ritual/meditation/affirmation that you do daily? If so, what is it and what does it mean to you?"

I have a few things I do on a daily basis that all come together. Mostly I picked them up through Donald Michael Kraig's book, Modern Magick. To start, I do a relaxation and brief centering meditation, then a single tarot card draw followed by The Lesser Banishing Ritual of The Pentagram(LBRP),The Banishing Ritual of the Hexagram(BRH) and The Middle Pillar Ritual(MPR) with The Circulation of The Body of Light. This may seem like quite a lot to do on a daily, or nightly, basis, however it really doesnt take too long. To be honest, I do not get into full garb or use all the implements. I don't feel that this takes anything away from the rituals themselves, since the point is in the ritual not in what you are or are not wearing or holding.

To me, the relaxation and centering help me to be able to release tension and either approach the day openly or let go of stress from the day I have had, not to mention allowing me to be focused on my ritual work. The single card pull gives me an idea of what to be looking for in the immediate time and space around me. The LBRP clears the area of any negative influences, the BRH clears the area of any positive influences, and the MPR generally cleanses and heals the ritualist while helping to build up the idea and influences of the Tree of Life within them. All of this taken together helps me to feel more at ease, and gives me a clean place to start while at the same time helps to build up and maintain the skill of raising and directing energy. When I first started all of this, I really didn't see any effect. I did it, and I kept my journals because that was part of the learning program. Over time though, I started to see and feel the effects of these rituals. I have even had people around me comment that they had noticed when I started to appear more confident, and when I started to be more decisive. I believe this was primarily because of these rituals, as they enabled me to have a way to really find myself.
